It’s tempting to think that bigger aperture alone guarantees brighter astrophotos, but there’s more to the story.

Exposure time and camera sensitivity (ISO or sensor efficiency) play huge roles in how bright and detailed your images turn out. A smaller telescope with longer exposures and a sensitive camera can sometimes outperform a larger scope with short exposures.

So, while aperture is your light bucket, how long you collect light and how your camera records it are equally important for stunning astrophotography.
